All Hail the Power

Here's a swinging version of a popular hymn, arranged for jazz ensemble (big band) like Count Basie might have played it. Beginning with a shouting brass intro, then swinging saxophones stating the melody.

An open section for improvised solos is followed by a break down section featuring drum fills. Then we change keys and build contrapuntally from the bass instruments upwards and ending with the full band just like the chart began, with the classic Basie piano ending.
